COM100 will, first and foremost, focus on communicating with the Lord—the cornerstone of all other communication. Secondly, the course is project based: With the assistance of your instructor, you will design and implement a project that is meaningful to you and grounded in your work, ministry, and/or community. Through this process, you will examine some of the ways in which messages and meanings are constructed, conveyed, and received, and in the end, become a more effective communicator, problem-solver, and leader. Due to the nature of the course, students are required to schedule this course for 15 weeks.

This course provides an overview of basic grammar, paragraph writing, and essay composition. Students are introduced to different types of writing, with particular emphasis on the research paper. How to prepare a research paper and use the proper citation conventions of RMC are included. Due to the nature of the course, students are required to schedule this course for 15 weeks.

A course in New Testament Greek grammar stressing the acquisition of vocabulary, inflectional forms for conjugations and declensions of nouns, and the understanding and translation of the indicative verb as preparation for LNG286.
